The Disraeli School Children's Centre

Our Children's Centre aims to meet the needs of parents in the Disraeli, Downley and Southfield areas. We are proud to have opened our new Children's Centre. It has been funded by Surestart.

The Children's Centre's aims are:

  • To provide early learning and support for babies and children until they are 5 years old.
  • To provide support for childminders.
  • To provide a system of signposting so that families know where to find support.
  • To support parents in returning to work with basic skills, créches so that parents can attend classes and to provide links to local schools and out-of-school activities.
  • To provide basic parenting skills for families.

It is managed by an Advisory Board which consists of representatives from:

  • The school nurse
  • Health Visitor
  • Adult Education
  • Children's Centre Co-ordinator
  • Children's Centre Manager

Services available include;

  • Breakfast Club

    • When: Daily Monday - Friday
    • Time: 7.40 - 8.35
    • For: ages 3-11
  • Wraparound Care

    • When: Daily Monday - Friday
    • Time: 11.30 - 3.00
  • After School Club

    • When: Daily Monday - Friday
    • Time: 3.10 - 5.45
    • For: ages 3-11
